Kelsang Gakyi

Gakyi teaches the class in Hamilton. She has been practicing and studying Buddhism since 2001. Gakyi works as a nurse and is the mother of two sons. She is able to offer clear explanations, from personal experience, on how to integrate Buddha's teachings into a busy modern lifestyle.

Arthur Calnan

Originally from Ireland, Arthur has been studying buddhism and practicing meditation for a number of years in Glasgow, combining this with his work as a doctor. He teaches  in a practical way that is applicable to everyday situations. Arthur teaches the FP class in Ayr.

 

George Mitchell

George a semi-retired veterinary surgeon, has been teaching the meditation class in West Kilbride since 2009. He has been studying and practicing Buddhism for four years and brings a relaxed approach, insight and abundant enthusiasm into his teaching.

Sandy Grant

Sandy teaches the Wednesday evening FP class at the Centre. He works for the RSPB in primary education and is a professional artist working from his studio in the city centre and running art classes in the westend. Sandy has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 12 years. He presents Buddha's teachings with humour and clarity.

Jacquie Lyle

A mum and primary school teacher from Ayrshire, Jacquie guides the meditation during the Prayers for World Peace at the centre. She shares the benefits of applying Buddha's teachings to everyday life. Her simple, heartfelt presentation of Dharma is delivered with warmth and humour.

Wendy Campbell

Wendy, originally from Dunfermline, has lived in Ayr for over twenty years. A primary teacher, mum and wife, Wendy integrates Buddha's teachings into her busy life. Warm and fun loving, she teaches from the heart as well as from experience, giving practical advice for daily living. Wendy teaches classes in Ayr.

Jon Hall

Jon is a semi-retired teacher, musician and father, who shares his experience of applying the Buddhist teachings in a practical way in his own life. With calmness and humour, Jon shows how Buddha's teachings can be integrated into everyday life. Jon teaches the evening classes in Inverness.

Scot Peacock

Scot is a Lecturer in Communications in Glasgow and is a regular contributer to Radio-Scotland's 'Thought for the Day' programme. Scot has been practising buddhist teachings for almost ten years and brings humour and clarity to his presentation of the Dharma. He teaches the class in Partick.
 
  

 

Carole Condamin

Born in the south of France, Carole is a Secondary School teacher who has been studying Buddhism for the past ten years in various European countries. Carole has lived in Glasgow for the past three years. She has been involved in the organisation of Buddhist Festivals in Britain and abroad. Carole teaches the FP class in East Kilbride.
